Hidemyacc stores proxy settings per profile. In the proxy section of the profile settings you choose the protocol, then enter a host, a port, and optionally a username and password. The browser can run a check against the proxy before you save, which tells you whether the connection works and what public IP and country the profile will present.
Because the browser derives timezone and geolocation hints from the proxy IP, the proxy has to be stable enough for that lookup to make sense. A carrier IP that sits in a known US metro gives Hidemyacc clean inputs. A datacenter IP gives it inputs that many sites already treat with suspicion, no matter how good the fingerprint is.

Step by step: adding a ProxyJolt proxy to a Hidemyacc profile
Start in your ProxyJolt dashboard. Each proxy card shows the host, the HTTP port, the SOCKS5 port, the username and password, and a rotation link. Activation is instant, so a proxy you buy now is ready before you finish creating the profile.
Open Hidemyacc, create a new profile, and find the proxy section of the profile settings. Pick HTTP if you want the simplest setup, or SOCKS5 if the profile will run anything that uses UDP, such as some video or voice features. Paste the host and the matching port, then the username and password. Use the check action. Hidemyacc should report a US IP on AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon, because that is what our modems hand out.
Let the browser set timezone and geolocation from the proxy IP rather than typing them by hand. Save the profile and open it. Sticky or rotating: which mode fits Hidemyacc
A Hidemyacc profile behaves like a person using one device. Sites remember that device by cookies and fingerprint, and they also notice the IP. If the IP changes every request while the cookies stay the same, that looks odd. For most account work we recommend sticky sessions: keep one IP for the whole session, then rotate between sessions.
Rotation on ProxyJolt is unlimited on every plan, with no wait between changes. Hit the rotation link from your dashboard or call the API before you open the profile, and the modem reconnects to the carrier and picks up a fresh IP. Per-request rotation exists too, and it suits research profiles that browse public pages and never log in. Choose the mode per proxy, and match it to what the profile does.
Scaling to many profiles
The clean pattern is one proxy per profile, or one proxy per small group of profiles that belong to the same client. Hidemyacc lets you tag and group profiles, so name them after the proxy metro: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, North Carolina or Boston. Boston is 4G LTE only; the other metros offer 5G where you want the extra headroom.
When a client asks for a different city, you do not need to buy again. You get free self-service location moves from your dashboard, so you can move a proxy to another metro and then update the host in the affected Hidemyacc profiles. Unlimited data means you can leave those profiles running background tasks without watching a meter.

Troubleshooting common problems
Authentication failures almost always come from a mismatch between the port and the protocol. The HTTP port and the SOCKS5 port are different numbers on the same host; using the SOCKS5 port with HTTP selected fails the check. Copy both from the dashboard and confirm which one you pasted.
A geolocation mismatch shows up when a profile was created with a manual timezone and then moved to a proxy in a different metro. Switch the timezone setting back to automatic so it follows the proxy. WebRTC leaks are handled by Hidemyacc itself, but if a site still sees a second IP, confirm the profile's WebRTC mode is not set to real and that DNS is going through the proxy, which it will with SOCKS5.
If a session drops mid-way, check whether something called the rotation link while the profile was open. Automation that rotates on a schedule should pause while a logged-in profile is active. Our modems reconnect quickly, but the site still sees the change.

Can I move a proxy to another US city later?
