Fast Mobile Proxies: 5G Carrier Lines That Go Live the Minute You Pay

Fast mobile proxies get sold with a lot of adjectives and very few numbers, so here are the numbers. A ProxyJolt 5G line delivers 50 Mbps and up. A 4G LTE line holds a steady 20 to 45 Mbps. Activation is automatic and happens the moment payment clears, which in practice means your credentials are on screen within a minute of checkout. A rotation takes the few seconds the modem needs to renew its carrier session. Every line is a real USB modem, 4G/5G router or phone with its own AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon SIM in one of eight US metros, dedicated to you, with unlimited data so the speed you buy is the speed you keep. This page goes through where those figures come from, how 5G and 4G compare, what latency on cellular really looks like, and what a line costs from $5 a day.

The real numbers: 50 and up on 5G, 20 to 45 on 4G

Speed on a mobile proxy is the speed of one SIM on one radio in one city, and that is what we quote. Our 5G lines sustain 50 Mbps and more, enough that the proxy stops being the bottleneck for parallel sessions, media-heavy pages and bulk downloads. Our 4G LTE lines sustain 20 to 45 Mbps, which is plenty for browsing, account work and steady scraping. Those are not peak figures from a lab; they are what the lines on our racks hold through the day.

Two things make the numbers stick. The first is that the line is yours alone: one modem, one SIM, one customer, so no one else's traffic is sharing the radio. The second is unlimited data on every plan. There is no meter, no overage and no slowdown after a threshold, so a 5G line on day 30 performs like a 5G line on day one.

What the numbers depend on is the carrier's tower in that metro at that hour, exactly as a phone standing next to the rack would experience. That is why we rack in eight metros and on three carriers: if one combination is busy, another is a self-service move away.

From checkout to first request in under a minute

Fast also means fast to start. Onboarding at ProxyJolt is fully automated: create an account, add balance by card, PayPal, crypto, Zelle or wire, pick term, tier, metro, carrier and hardware, and pay. The instant payment clears the line is provisioned and the host, port, username and password appear in the dashboard. No approval queue, no setup call, no email with credentials arriving later. Most customers are sending their first request within a minute of clicking pay.

The same is true of changes after purchase. Whitelisting your address, switching to password authentication, extending the term and moving the line to another metro are all buttons in the dashboard that take effect in seconds to a couple of minutes, not tickets.

5G or 4G LTE: where the extra dollar goes

On the daily plan the two tiers are one dollar apart: $5 for 4G LTE, $6 for 5G. That dollar buys the step from 20 to 45 Mbps to 50 Mbps and up, so if throughput is why you are here, take 5G and stop thinking about it. The hardware, the dedicated SIM, the unlimited data and the rotation are identical on both.

4G LTE still makes sense when the job is not bandwidth-bound: account management, SERP checks, price monitoring, anything where the target's rate limit arrives long before your pipe fills. Over a week ($27 against $33) or a month ($65 against $79) the saving on 4G adds up across many lines, and 20 to 45 Mbps is a real connection, not a consolation prize.

Unsure? An hourly 5G line is $3 for the first two hours. Run your own speed test through it, then buy the tier the numbers tell you to.

How fast a rotation is, and how to trigger it

A rotation on a ProxyJolt line is the modem dropping its carrier session and re-attaching, which takes a few seconds and hands you a fresh address from the same carrier in the same metro. You can fire it from the dashboard button, from your personal rotation link, through the API, or on a timer you set. Rotation is unlimited on every plan; there is no daily allowance and no cooldown to manage.

Because the handshake takes seconds rather than milliseconds, the quick pattern is to rotate between batches or on a block, not on every request. Do nothing and the address stays put as a sticky session for as long as the carrier keeps the lease, typically hours, which is what logged-in work wants anyway.

Latency on cellular, without the hype

Round-trip time through a mobile proxy is always higher than through a datacenter box, because your request crosses a radio link and the carrier's core before it reaches the internet. 5G shortens that hop noticeably compared with 4G LTE, which is one more reason the 5G tier is the default for anything interactive. We do not publish a single latency figure because it varies by carrier, metro and time of day, and any provider quoting one number for all of them is guessing.

What we can do is let you measure it. Buy an hourly line in the metro you care about, run your own ping and page-load tests, and move the line to another metro or buy on another carrier if the numbers are not right. Moves are free and instant from the dashboard, so finding the fastest combination for your target is a few minutes of work, not a support thread.

Protocols and authentication that keep up

Every line speaks HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, with UDP over SOCKS5 for the apps and game clients that need it. Each protocol listens on its own port, so a browser profile and a custom client can share the line. Authentication is by username and password or by whitelisting your own address, and switching between them is a dashboard toggle that takes effect immediately.

Anything that accepts a standard proxy accepts a ProxyJolt line: antidetect browsers, scraping frameworks, phones, emulators and plain curl. The proxy checker on the tools page shows the exit address, carrier and city of your line in a second or two, so you can confirm what you bought before pointing anything important at it.

Hardware, carriers and metros

The default hardware is a USB modem, the fastest to rotate and right for most work. A 4G/5G router carries the same class of SIM for lines that must stay up for weeks without a restart. A real phone is a genuine handset for targets that check the device as well as the address. All three are dedicated to one customer and all three activate instantly, phones and routers included.

Carriers are AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, chosen at checkout from what is racked in your metro. Metros are New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, Boston and North Carolina, each with its own page below on how the addresses geolocate and what the signal is like there.

What a line costs

Hourly: $2 for the first two hours on 4G LTE and $2 per extra hour, $3 and $3 on 5G, up to four hours per purchase, never auto-renewing; keep the line for a full day and the hours you paid count toward the day price. Daily: $5 on 4G, $6 on 5G. Weekly: $27 and $33. Thirty days: $65 and $79, the lowest cost per day, with optional auto-renew so a long job never drops.

Nothing is billed on top. Rotation, API access, both protocols, UDP, whitelisting and metro moves are included on every term, and no carrier or city carries a surcharge.

What speed buyers run on ProxyJolt

The people who search for a fast line usually have a job where waiting costs money. The common ones on our racks:

  • Bulk scraping of media-heavy pages where a 5G line at 50 Mbps and up finishes in a fraction of the time
  • Parallel browser sessions on one address, where bandwidth per session decides how many you can run
  • Account work that has to start now, with credentials live within a minute of payment
  • App and game traffic over a real carrier route with UDP, where 5G trims the round trip
  • Ad verification and SERP checks across several metros, moving the line city to city in minutes

If it is not fast enough

Tell us. A first order carries a 24-hour guarantee: if the line does not perform for your target in that window, support will fix it, move it, or refund it. Support is staffed around the clock and answers fast, which is the only way a company selling speed should run its help desk.

Fast mobile proxies: quick answers

How fast are ProxyJolt mobile proxies really?

5G lines sustain 50 Mbps and up; 4G LTE lines hold 20 to 45 Mbps. Each line is one dedicated SIM on one modem with unlimited data, so those figures do not degrade over the term. The ceiling is the carrier's tower in that metro at that hour.

How long does activation take?

The line is provisioned automatically the instant payment clears and the credentials appear in the dashboard, so in practice you are connected within a minute of checkout. Phones and routers activate the same way as modems.

Is 5G worth the extra dollar over 4G?

If throughput matters, yes: $6 a day for 50 Mbps and up against $5 for 20 to 45 Mbps, with everything else identical. If the job is rate-limited by the target rather than by bandwidth, 4G LTE is the better buy, especially at $65 a month.

How quickly can I rotate the IP?

A rotation takes the few seconds the modem needs to renew its carrier session, and you can trigger it from the dashboard, your rotation link, the API or a timer, as often as you like. The new address is from the same carrier in the same metro.

What is the latency like?

Higher than a datacenter proxy, because the traffic crosses a radio link and the carrier core; 5G shortens that hop compared with 4G. It varies by carrier, metro and time of day, so we do not quote one number. Test with an hourly line and move it free if another metro is quicker.

What does a line cost?

Hourly $2 on 4G or $3 on 5G for the first two hours, then the same per hour up to four hours. Daily $5 or $6, weekly $27 or $33, 30 days $65 or $79. Rotation, API, SOCKS5, UDP and metro moves are included.

Which protocols and auth methods are supported?

HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 on separate ports, with UDP over SOCKS5. Authenticate by username and password or by whitelisting your address, switchable from the dashboard at any time.

Where are the lines?

Racked in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Miami, Boston and North Carolina on AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon SIMs. You pick the metro and carrier at checkout and can move the line between metros yourself, free.
